The first few pages of the comic strip on media was easy to understand. However the rest 90 pages we had to read was dreadful as i couldn't cope with what was going on. i do know that in order to sell their products even though it wasn't good for the people they managed to lure in the children; who will beg their parents to buy the product which is a good tactic as the parents usually dont check what is in it and half the time the makers never even put it on the label.
the family tree was interesting as i found out more about my mothers side of the family. i recently found out last year when i traveled to India with my mom that i actually have cousins younger than me not even in their teens yet. it is good to find out something about the family history as it may be important in the future.
My social Network was very fun to do and messy too. it turns out i know a lot of people who know a lot of other people who somehow know the people i know.. its like one great big circle that is intertwined and connected all the way through to the middle.

The First Few
From the First class of media studies i was confused and lost. there wasn't a language barrier problem. it was just what the discussion was about that turned my brains into goo. the only thing that interested me in the beginning was the Matrix and somehow that too turned into a strange, mind boggling piece of work. however it wasn't as hard as i expected it to be and it helped me understand the classes a little bit. the whole saga of the matrix is that they are all living in a world that is a complete loop, happening over and over again. and that was what the discussions were. even borges and I was different but somehow the same thing. it also took people who read it into a loop which was how i felt. first i thought there was something wrong with what i was taking in. i had to read it 2 to 3 times to understand that it is suppose to be that way. Brings you into a maze where there are no exits. which brings me to wonder why is this so important for us? i know im not going to become someone who's going to write and talk about these psychological things. but then again it is interesting. its just the process of taking it all in is what i don't like about it.
